Development, moulding and characterisation of prepregs

Prepreg processing technology enables the material to be adapted to the requirements of the transformation process and vice-versa, which offers a wide range of possibilities, as prepregs can be offered and developed à la carte, depending on their application and the conditions of the moulding process.

Taking into account the technical specifications of the composite to be developed and the requirements of the transformation process, the aim of this service is to offer composite materials in prepreg format.

Through this service, we are able to cover all the stages required by this technology, i.e. from the development of the prepreg with the definition of formulations, selection of materials and optimisation of processing variables, to the production of prototypes/test specimens.

Impregnation machine for the production of any type of prepreg.
Impregnate any type of fibre and adapt the base of the formulation to the pre-impregnated format with the desired grammage and resin/reinforcement ratio.
Moulding techniques of prepregs for prototyping; compression, vacuum press, etc.
Characterisation of the formulations by means of the tests required by the applicable regulations.
