Conditioning and preparation of waste for pyrolysis based on composition and morphology criteria

Qualitative and quantitative characterisation of key properties of materials of diverse origin. Determination of the conditioning and texturisation needs of the different waste. Operations are performed to control physical characteristics, such as moisture, size and density. To do so, treatments, such as grinding, drying, compaction (agglomeration or pelletisation), particle size control by removal of coarse and fine particles by screening are defined and tested. These treatments enable the samples to be adapted for input feed to the cracking process.

  • Constituent materials (plastics, metal scraps, etc.)
  • Texture and physical state of the waste
  • Bulk density
  • Elemental analysis (C, H, O, N, S, ash, volatiles and moisture)
  • Calorimetric analysis
  • Halogen content
  • Heavy metal content
  • PCB content
  • Thermal stability analysis by TGA and DSC
