Biodetection Solutions

GAIKER develops detection systems to assist companies have fast, portable, sensitive and cost-effective solutions based on biological recognition mechanisms. These solutions enable enable companies to monitor critical parameters relevant tho their operations including micro-organisms, health markers, allergens and environmental pollutants and more. Industries benefiting most from these solutions include food production, human health, animal and plant health, environmental management, and Industry 4.0.

Our activities in this field include:
• Selection of specific markers and securing of biological recognition molecules, mainly antibodies and nucleic acids
• Evaluation of new antibodies and aptamers for developing sensors employing various transduction systems: optical, electrochemical, spectrophotometric and magnetic
• Biofunctionalisation of surfaces and nanoparticles with biological molecules (DNA and antibodies) for biosensor development
• Development of laboratory-scale tools based on nucleic acid and antibodies for analysis
• Adaptation of biological identification procedures, including sample preparation, signal extraction and amplification to the requirements of point-of-care devices
