Automatic identification, separation and classification of materials by advanced technologies

Physical separation based on the continuous automatic identification, detection and sorting of materials using a semi-industrial sensor sorting plant based on spectroscopy technology. Continuous automatic separation equipment identifies materials without contact by means of an integrated optical or spectrometer. The particles of the mixture on a conveyor belt passing under the measuring module are irradiated with light from a set of lamps. The light reflected by the materials is captured by the sensor and analysed spectrally, obtaining the characteristic recognition pattern according to the nature of the particle. The resulting spectra are compared with spectra of known materials stored in the system’s database (spectra library), so that this comparison leads to the identification of the material.
