Antimicrobial efficacy: Development and characterisation of biofilms

We evaluate the anti-biofilm activity of active ingredients, formulations and/or the end product. We determine the bactericidal and fungicidal effectiveness against various microorganisms via:

Generation of biofilms characteristic of different habitats (environmental, clinical, food, materials) in a CDC continuous flow system on different abiotic surfaces (borosilicate glass, stainless steel, etc.) as per ASTM E2196-07.
Evaluation of anti-biofilm properties as per ASTM E2871-13, and characterisation of biofilm growth and viability on different surfaces by marking.
