Functional polymer engineering and printed electronics

Advanced materials influence all aspects of life, from health and food to housing, energy, mobility, communication, consumer goods and much more. Microelectronics, printed electronics and enabling nanotechnologies are highly relevant for digital and smart products. The digital transition will require a radical transformation of applied materials due to the EU's dependence on the CRM of third countries.

Therefore, we develop functional polymer composites and processes to produce functional parts for diverse industries, such as automotive, domestic, electrical, packaging and maritime by using monitored advanced manufacturing techniques (IME, 3D printing, …). Examples are complex parts with integrated sensors, integrated lighting, functional actuators for automotive applications.
