Environmental health

Climate change and environmental degradation are major threats to Europe and the world. To overcome these challenges, the European Green Deal seeks to improve the well-being and health of citizens and the environment by moving towards a circular economy, protecting our biodiversity and ecosystems, improving waste management, reducing air, water and soil pollution, and ensuring the sustainability of our blue economy and fisheries sectors.

At GAIKER, we perform ecotoxicity tests for environmental impact assessment. We develop New Approach Methodologies (NAM) based on in vitro models of freshwater, marine and terrestrial species for toxicity testing of chemicals and materials. We develop innovative, nature-based solutions to reduce environmental pollution.
