Robust processes are developed to operate under moderate temperature and pressure conditions and to produce high yields of pyrolysis oils (from pre-conditioned samples) of refinery-accepted quality. Experiments are designed to enable the liquid, gas and solid yields to be quantified. Optimisation of the following control parameters: 

Reaction temperature
Residence times
Liquid yield
Oil composition
