Manufactured nanomaterials (MNM) have specific properties of great interest to industry. However, the health effects are not yet known for certain. GAIKER provides valuable support for the responsible development of this type of products. Our toxicological strategy for nanoparticles considers the final application, the route of entry into the body and the type of exposure (acute or chronic)

  • Use of tools to determine the risk of nanomaterials and their management: Identification of risk points in the process and identification of knowledge gaps.
  • Guidance on regulatory issues
  • Life cycle analysis: Environmental profile assessment of MNMs, identification and analysis of the impact associated with the life cycle of MNMs.

Product safety evaluation

We carry out physical-chemical analysis (TEM, SEM, DLS, Z-potential) and in vitro toxicological evaluations.
