Plataforma digital para la vigilancia, prevención y optimización del sistema de abastecimiento de agua. DIGITAP
The aim of the project is the monitoring, prevention and optimisation of the water supply system by means of the development of digital twins as tools for the adequate management of water treatment plants and early warning. This project will contribute to enhance the status of aquatic ecosystems and water bodies, both in quantity and quality, improving the levels of water security in the face of structural water scarcity and drought events.

Development of a new ecological and sustainable purification system for swimming pool water, which does not use reagents, given that both chlorine and other chemical products (pH regulators, algicides...) currently used for this treatment can have harmful effects on the health of users (dermatitis, red eyes...). Therefore, the project will evaluate the feasibility of using biofilters and purification with water treatment plants, as well as alternative disinfection systems (physical systems, UV light, membranes) that do not require the addition of chemicals. In addition, an innovative software will be developed to count the number of swimmers and the duration of baths in the pool in order to correlate it with the contamination of the pool at any given time, and through its integration with the pool's SCADA system, to enable efficient use of resources thanks to the optimisation of energy consumption for heating the water.

The main objective of the URTREAT project is the implementation of a NEBT-NTBC for the development of an innovative system for treatment, purification and reuse of alkaline streams and valorisation of wastes through their conversion into value added by-products. The NEBT-NTBC aims to cover a niche opportunity detected on the market to solve different problems regarding to the environmental management of different alkaline wastewaters from different industrial sectors (hydrogen generation, bottling, surface treatment,...).
