The main objective of the μ4IIOT project is the development of microtechnologies oriented to its application in the smart factory within the framework of industrial digitalization in the Basque Country. GAIKER participates in the development of electrochemical genosensors in microfluidic platforms for monitoring the presence of Listeria monocytogenes in the food industry.

GAIKER's participation in this ELKARTEK project aims to develop a portable solution based on lateral flow technology for the detection of exosome markers in urine. This lateral flow test can be used as an easy-to-use tool for disease screening in facilities with minimal laboratory equipment.

Unlocking new value from urban biowaste. VALUEWASTE
The VALUEWASTE project proposes an integrated approach in urban biowaste upcycling for the production of high-value bio-based products, developing the first complete solution to fully valorise biowaste that can be replicated across Europe.
Our role within the project will be related with new products toxicological and functional evaluation and safety assessment by in vitro testing to comply with corresponding international legislation (REACH, food regulations…).

Industrial valorization of a portable device for indoor air quality control. AIROSA
The project consists of the development of a detector of indicators of portable environmental biological pollution, easy to handle and capable of giving a result in less than an hour, based on a very novel genetic diagnostic technique. The developed prototype will improve significantly and preventively, the biological safety of the air inside the office buildings, geriatric centers, nurseries and in general interior buildings at the risk of appearing the known sick building syndrome, defined by the World Organization of Health as the set of diseases originated or stimulated by air pollution in closed spaces.
